I won’t perform at the National Theatre again —Kojo Antwi

Highlife legend, Kojo Antwi has vowed that he will not perform at the National Theatre again.

It is shocking that the National Theatre which was Kojo Kojo Antwi’s main venue for his popular December 24 concert is now a no-go area for him.

In an exclusive interview with on Onua TV, the Mr. Music Man as he is nicknamed announced his decision to permanently retire from performing at the iconic venue.

According to the ‘’Tom and Jerry’’ hitmaker, the National Theatre once a perfect fit for his concert, no longer aligns with his artistic aspirations.

The former Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) reminisced about the intimate charm of the National Theatre in his early days but emphasized that his evolution as a performer necessitated a grander platform.

“The place has fallen short of a theatre. Maintaining the place has become difficult for those who are handling the theatre and me as an Artiste, I don’t belong to a hall; I realised that the place wasn’t helping me. But an artiste doesn’t belong to a hall. All the things I did there were about God,” Kojo Antwi stated.
