Gospel Artiste Ohemaa Mercy has revealed she never imagined the scale of the ministry she would eventually build when she first received a vision about her future in gospel music.
She recalled that she initially thought the vision simply meant God would take her from singing in church to becoming a recognised gospel musician.
“I didn’t know that God was going to use me massively like this. I’m going to stand in front of a lot of people,” she said during an interview on Joy Prime.
According to Ohemaa Mercy, her first major performance came with a mix of shock, anxiety and tears because she struggled to believe that the moment she had envisioned was becoming reality.
She also recalled receiving an award from former President John Agyekum Kufuor and visiting the Castle as moments that made her emotional.
“I cried throughout but I believe that God has something to do with it. It hasn’t even started, but I’m still going through that kind of testimony season and it has not stopped,” she said.
She attributed her growth to prayer, consistency and maintaining her relationship with God, saying she continues to seek direction through prayer before major programmes and projects.
