I just admire Akufo-Addo policies; I’m not NPP member –Samini

Celebrated Reggae and Dancehall Artiste, Samini has revealed that he is not a member of New Patriotic Party (NPP) but only supported President Nana Addo Dankwa and New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 general elections for a particular reason.

“I am not a card bearing member of the NPP, I’m an admirer of Nana Akufo-Addo’s policies. That is what drew me to loud his policies and the fact that it will only make sense for him to continue from where he has started rather than swap him,” he said.

The ‘Linda’ hitmakerin an interview on TV3debunked the notion that he is a member of the NPP.

Samini also said policies like the ‘Free SHS, ‘One District, One Factory’, ‘One Village, One Dam’ made him pitch tent with the NPP in the last elections.

Before clarifying, many linked the Artiste to the NPP as he was seen on the political party’s stages performing before the politicians spoke. He even went a step further by composing a song for the then Presidential flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, known by his stage name Samini, is a Ghanaian reggae and dancehall recording Artiste from Wa. His genre of music is a melodious mixture of high life, dance hall, reggae and hip-hop. He terms his brand of music “African dance hall”
