Popular Musician, Black Sherif has revealed that he rarely listens to songs he has already released, saying his attention quickly shifts to new music and projects.
Speaking on Citi on Citi FM, Black Sherif said he recently took time to listen back to his previously released projects, describing the experience as unusual because he typically moves on to new music once a song is released.
According to the musician, his involvement in new projects means he rarely revisits his previous releases.
“Last week, I was listening to all the projects I’ve dropped. You know, because when I have songs, when they come out, I don’t listen to them again.
“I have a lot I’m working on, so I move to the next one. Any Black Sherif song I listen to in my car by myself is unreleased,” he said.
Born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, Black Sherif is a singer, rapper and fashion model. He initially gained popularity in 2021 with his song ‘First Sermon’ which he released in May 2021. This was followed up with the ‘Second Sermon’ in July 2021.
His breakthrough came in March 2022 with his hit single ‘Kwaku the Traveller,’ which reached Number 1 on the Ghanaian and Nigerian Apple Music charts. He then released his debut album, ‘The Villain I Never Was’in 2022 and a sophomore album, ‘Iron Boy’ in 2025.
