Actor cum Comedian Funny Face opened up about why he never made it to university after senior high school.
He revealed that, financial difficulties at home forced him to put his education on hold while helping support his siblings.
“I couldn’t go to uni then, the money really wasn’t there,” he said.
According to him, being the only son in the family came with pressure, especially after growing up alongside several sisters.
“We were four girls and one boy. I’m the only son,” he shared.
Funny Face explained that instead of pursuing higher education, he took up jobs and professional courses while trying to survive financially.
“I did some professional courses in journalism and then I started working,” he said.
The actor also reflected on the loss of his father, saying the period still affects him emotionally years later.
“My father passed in 2021 when I was going through my problems, so I couldn’t even go to the funeral,” he disclosed.
He added that his father died at age 39 and looked very much like him.
“He was a footballer. Some of the dreams he couldn’t fulfill, maybe I’m here to fulfill them,” Funny Face said.
