I battled depression and oppression for 4 years –Amy Newman

Celebrated Gospel Artiste, Mrs Amy Newman has revealed that, for a period of four years, she went through intense depression and oppression.

This according to the ‘Okamafo Jesus’ crooner, this resulted in her abandoning a lot of things including music. “I felt like the Biblical missing sheep that Jesus was looking for. I was lost for 4 years. If you check my photos during that time, I wasn’t applying makeup, I was looking shabby and I appeared like I’ve lost it up here” Mrs. Amy Newman said in an interview on Skyy Power FM’s OC Showbiz Review.

Mrs. Newman who is currently promoting her second single of the year, ‘Makoma Ahye Ma’ mentioned that, “I wrote this song (Makoma Ahye Ma) in 2009 but after the depression, I decided to release it as a form of my appreciation to God.”

She revealed that she wrote ‘Makoma Ahye ma’ in 2009 but didn’t release it until she came out of the depression and oppression and the Holy Spirit told her to release after coming out of it.

The new song of Mrs. Amy Newman ‘Makoma Ahye ma’ has been uploaded on all her social media handles with the handle name ‘Amy Newman.’
