Glitz Africa CEO celebrates women, orphans

Mrs. Claudia Abena Kwarteng Lumor, the founder, Chief Executive and Editor-in-Chief of Glitz Africa, a lifestyle publication, has celebrated women in the Oforikrom municipality in Kumasi, to mark this year’s Mother’s Day.

She gave each mother a hamper and organised a dinner for inmates of the three orphanage homes in the Oforikrom municipality, at Boadi.

The orphanage homes that benefited from Mrs. Lumor’s largesse were King Jesus Charity Home, Life Community Vocation School and All Nations Charity Home.

The gesture is a demonstration of her passion for women and children’s advocacy.

Mrs. Claudia Lumor, a native of Oforikrom, noted that women go through a lot of stress managing the home and, therefore, must to be celebrated.

Having contributed to the construction of an Astro Turf at Kotei to unearth talents in the area of sports, she pledged to serve the constituents and the constituency in any possible way to develop the area.

The benefactor has herself been honoured on various platforms, including The Most Influential Young Ghanaians and 100 Most Influential Women in Ghana; Most inspirational Women in Ghana, Top 50 young Entrepreneurs in Ghana; Top 40 Under-40 business leaders in Ghana and Most powerful players in African Fashion in a UK publication, among others.

Claudia has also led key fundraising and projects for UNFPA as their Goodwill Ambassador.

The Assemblyman for Apemso-Deduako Electoral Area, Richard Nyarkoh, who is also the Presiding Member of the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly, praised Mrs. Lumor for the gesture to treat the women and the needy children in the Constituency.

Mr. Isaiah Kofi Boamah, lst Vice Chairman of the Oforikrom NPP constituency urged the constituents to support Claudia in her efforts to ensure proper development of the constituency.
