Ghanaians remember 5 years of Ebony’s demise

Ghanaians have remembered late Ruff Town Record’s signee, Ebony Reigns who lost her life in a car accident on February 8, 2018.

Born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, the once Artiste of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards died in a fatal road accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.

She was travelling to Accra after visiting her mother in the Bono Region.

On her journey, a Jeep with the registration number AS 497-16 she was travelling in had a head-on collision with a VIP bus heading towards Sunyani from Kumasi.

Ebony passed away alongside two other persons, her friend only identified as Franklina and a military officer identified as Francis Atsu Vondee. However, the driver of the vehicle escaped death.

The ‘Maame Hw3’ hitmaker was laid to rest on March 24, 2018, at the Osu Cemetery.

Five years on, memories of the talented singer still are still fresh in the minds of fans. Celebrating Ebony on her death anniversary, some say they missed her while others pray for her.

Singer Wendy Shay, also signed on to Rufftown, took to her Instagram page to honour Ebony.

“Keep on resting in power,” she wrote.
