Bibiani Gold Stars have been fined GH¢5,000 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee for breaching matchday accreditation and access control rules during their Ghana Premier League match against Accra Hearts of Oak.

The club was found guilty of allowing its Chief Executive Officer, Kwasi Adu, to enter the inner perimeter without authorisation, where he verbally assaulted match officials.

The Committee has also banned Kwasi Adu for three matches and fined GH¢10,000 for misconduct during and after his club’s Ghana Premier League match against Accra Hearts of Oak.

The fine must be paid within 14 days of notification of the decision. The committee has warned Gold Stars that any further misconduct could attract more severe sanctions.

In the match itself, Hearts of Oak came from behind to beat Bibiani Gold Stars 2-1 in Match Round Two of the Ghana Premier League, after recovering from K. Opoku’s early goal, with second-half strikes from Y. Baafi and K. B. Henry.
