GEXIM donates TRACTOR towards this year’s Framers’ Day.

Ghana Export-Import Bank, on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022, donated an LS plus 80 HP 4WD MF Tractor and its Accessories to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) as the 1st Runner-Up Prize for this year’s National Farmers’ Day Celebration.

Isaac Amissah-Aidoo, General Manager, Finance and Strategy, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer made the presentation at the premises of the Ministry, Accra. The value of the Tractor and its accessories is GH¢562,842.98.00.

The theme for this year’s celebration is: “Accelerating Agriculture Development through Value Addition.”

Presenting the keys to Mr. Yaw Frimpong Addo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr. Isaac Amissah-Aidoo, said the Bank had been supporting the Event with a Tractor and its accessories as the 1st Runner -Up Prize for the past 22 years and added that, this annual partnership with MoFA will motivate our farmers, fisher folks and all Stakeholders in the agriculture value chain to increase production, add value to raw materials and produce made-in-Ghana products for domestic consumption and for exports.

‘’We believe in the financing of the agriculture sector to play its role in the nation’s development, especially adding value through processing to export’’ he stressed.

Receiving the Tractor and its accessories, Yaw Frimpong Addo, expressed appreciation of the Government and Ministry for the Bank’s consistent support even in times of the current worldwide economic crisis and lauded the Board and Management of Ghana Export-Import Bank for responding positively to this national call.

This year’s 38th Awards will be held on Friday, December 2nd, 2022, at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
