An aspiring Constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Sunyani East, Mr. Frank Kwaku Mensah, has unveiled a grassroots-focused vision aimed at strengthening party structures and positioning the constituency for sustained political engagement.

He says his main aim for contesting the organizer’s position is to help build an NDC that works all year round, rather than becoming active only during election periods.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with this reporter in Sunyani, Mr. Frank Mensah popularly known as “Frankie”, said he would ensure stronger coordination among branch executives, electoral area coordinators and constituency officers, for effective grassroots mobilisation.

Mr. Frank Mensah is one of the most experienced, and longest serving branch officer in Sunyani East Constituency; rising through the ranks as branch youth organizer for 4 years, branch organizer for 8 years, branch chairman for 8 and currently as branch coordinator for the past 8 years.

According to him, grassroots mobilisation must be based on trust, dialogue, visibility and service, rather than election-time panic reactions. Mr. Frank Mensah said party work requires deeper sense of understanding grassroots dynamics and challenges, and turn them into opportunities.

The organizer hopeful therefore assured to deepen NDC’s engagement with young people, especially floating and first-time voters for a one touch victory in 2028.

He said he also drives the agenda to intensify voters’ engagement and mobilisation; promote unity, discipline and hard work within the party; empower the youth to support party activities and build a united, focused and victorious NDC in Sunyani East.

Mr. Frank Mensah also emphasised the need for all party members to support President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC administration in delivering on its mandate to the people of Ghana.

He believes the constituency party members have an important role to play in explaining government policies and programmes, countering misinformation with facts and figures, and transmitting genuine concerns from communities to party leadership.

Looking toward 2028, Frankie cautions against complacency within the NDC. “Ghanaians will be disappointed if the NDC makes a mistake to give away power to the NPP in 2028. That is why we must not wait until the election year before we start working. The time to organise is now.”

He applauded the ruling NDC government for responding favourably to the many developmental challenges of the country, and building a strong and resilient economy for the people of Ghana.

Appealing to all NDC delegates in the Sunyani East to vote massively for him as the Constituency Organizer in the upcoming constituency election, Mr. Frank Mensah urged the party supporters to remain committed and consolidate the gains made by the Mahama-led government.
