Foreign students learn about Adinkra symbols, Asante culture

A group of students from the Harvard University in the USA has visited Kumasi to learn more about Asante culture.

They studied Adinkra symbols and learnt about the history of Kente and a few other Asante cultural items.

Mr. Osei Bonsu Sarfo Kantanka, alias Teacher Kantanka, a Monarchical Historian, took the students through their studies during the visit.

He disclosed that some PhD students from the Indian University also visited to learn about ancient Asante architecture.

Teacher Kantaka encouraged Ghanaian students to also learn more and be abreast with Ghanaian cultures.
