Black Sherif nominated for 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards

‘Second sermon’ hitmaker, Black Sherif has been nominated for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.

He is nominated in the ‘Best International Flow’ category which was won by Sarkodie.

His latest hit song, ‘Kwaku the traveler’ has gained a tremendous following and worldwide appeal from bigwigs like DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, and others.

In June 2022, Black Sherif reached 100 million Boomplay streams.

His popular tune Kwaku The Traveller had 75 million streams in its first week, spawning a viral TikTok challenge. Black Sherif is Ghana’s second BET Hip Hop Award nominee.

In 2019, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie won the newly created category, defeating Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa), and Tory Lanez (Canada).
