Feature: The Jasikan Strongman

According to history, in the ancient world, a Greek soldier ran a distance of 42 kilometers from the battlefield of Marathon to tell the Greeks in Athens that they have won the battle. After delivering the message, he collapsed and died.

Today, running the 42-kilometers is celebrated worldwide, hitting arecord time of under two hours. And so today let anything happen anywhere and within maximum ten minutes it is news, all over the world.

Currently in the courts, worldwide, the storymaking the rounds in law chambers and court rooms is the bizarre unbelievable story from Jasikan, Oti Region, in the Republic of Ghana, that a Judge handling a divorce petitioner in the Circuit Court started bonking the female petitioner, then, not only that he himself managed to cause the arrest of the petitioner before him as an accused person.

According to the two hundred and something meetings of the General Legal Council, approval has been given to the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee set up by the Chief Justice to look into a petition brought to the CJ by the lady in the center of the storm SINGARI DIANA SADIA.

In her petition Sadia accused the Judge, HisHonour Alfred Kwabena Asiedu of abuse of power, sexual exploitation, malicious prosecution and impropriety.

I can almost imagine proceedings at the General Legal Council- on that fateful day….

“Yes, next item on the agenda…… report of Disciplinary Committee into the Petition against the Circuit Court judge at Jasikan……ladies and gentlemen copies of the Reportare before you and I am sure you have all read it…. The Committee recommended the Judge should be dismissed from office …. Yes, the floor is open….blablabla…the report is adopted by unanimous resolution ……”

And so, the decision was leaked to social media thenofficial mainstream national dailies carried the story… Jasikan Circuit Court Judge dismissed….

There are two jobs which I rather no child of mine will ever do- being a PASTOR and a JUDGE – for the simple reason that the public perception of persons holding their office is VERY VERY HIGH. The challenge is too much for me.

After work, why can’t I join the group at the local bar, playing draught, discussing politics, trading rumors in town? If I see a woman with knock out hips and mouth watering legs, why can’t I attempt a twosome? If you are a judge and you get involved in any of them, then it is a MISCONDUCT.

That word, MISCONDUCT, MISCONDUCT…. I joined the army wanting to be a Major General, but a combination of negative characters led to my being arrested and triedby COURTMARTIAL for TREASON and MISCONDUCT charges.

The lawyers who drafted the charges were not too sure of getting me hooked up or TREASON – planning to overthrow the lawfully constituted government- so they made the same facts alternative to the omnibus general disciplinary measure – MISCONDUCT – even failing to salute your senior in uniform is MISCONDUCT and you can be DISMISSED for that!!!!!!

But his Honour Judge Alfred Kwabena Asiedu refused to lie down his hands tied behind his back and booted at, slapped and made a dustbin. How?

Even assuming that he did make love to Singari which he denies (come and prove it in court that I have enjoyed you!!!!) did he RAPE her? If not rape then what is MISCONDUCT OR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION about that?

And malicious prosecution? What are the ingredients of “malicious prosecution”? Are they established here? Disciplinary Committee what is malicious prosecution about making a complaint to the Police, investigation, charge statement and arraignment? WAS SHE ACQUITTED? Holala!!!!

No.  After all, Alfred Asiedu outside the bench is a qualified lawyer. Let us go to Court to test the justness of the decision by the General Legal Council – so writ of summons, statement of claim in action!!!

The Ga’s will say… SAA YOOO……

Let the Heavens come down!!!
