Ex-Pres J.A Kuffour rewards Kotoko with GH¢50,000

Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko paid a courtesy visit on former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffour to present their just-won GPL trophy and he also congratulated the entire team for their immense contribution to the club.

The Porcupine Warriors arrived early in the capital to set on with their trophy tour and stopped at the humble abode of the country’s ex first gentleman last Friday.

The ‘Kum Apem’ lads afterwards got held by Accra Lions to a pulsating 1-1 stalemate at the Ohene Gyan Stadium to wrap up their season.

The former Chairman of the African Union gave the team a warm reception and congratulated them for their good works by spewing some kind words into the life of the players and also rewarded them with GHC50,000 for their great works.

He said: “You conquer both home and abroad. This is what has happened this year and we can’t congratulate you enough. Coaches, handlers, supporters and of course the star players and this achievement also happened a dynamic youthful chairman.”

Asante Kotoko having clinched their 25th league title and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next season and will definitely want to make it to the money zone this time
