EX-Miss Ghana marks 50th birthday with charity project at Dzelukope

Former beauty queen, lawyer, philanthropist, women’s and children’s rights activist and Anlo Royal, Princess Penelope Mawulolo Jones-Mensah, has clocked age 50 and she is seizing the moment to bless the people of Dzelukope with her kindness.

The philanthropist who is a biological sister to Kojo Jones celebrated her 50th birthday on July 21st, 2022, with widows, orphans and socio-economically disadvantaged children from the town in Keta of the Volta region.

The former beauty queen embarked on a philanthropic exercise and even on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Dzelukope, to mark her birthday. Penelope Jones-Mensah held a bazaar for 100 orphans/socio-economically disadvantaged children aged 5-15 years and donated food items to 50 widows.

The event was dubbed ” Princess Penelope’s Golden Jubilee Celebration and Inter-generational Mentoring Event,” and according to the celebrant, it is one of the events lined up for her yearlong activities to commemorate her Golden Jubilee.

In a heartfelt speech at the event, Ms Jones-Mensah described the charity event as particularly dear to her heart.

She spoke of her deep passion for empowering the marginalised in society, particularly women and children, and giving back to a society that has helped shape the woman that she is today.
