Dreams sink Karela United in Dawu

Dreams maintain their recent three game unbeaten run after humbling Karela United by 3-1 at the Theatre of Dreams Park in Dawu.

Dreams started the game by breaking the deadlock in early ten minutes through Huzaif Ali. The home team again appealed for a penalty call on the 14th minute mark, after Fatawu Issahaku set up Ibrahim Issah in the box, who got fouled in the process, but the referee waved play on.

Dreams doubled their lead in the 37th minute through Abdul Fatawu Issahaku who jumped high to connect into the net with a towering header from Victor Oduro’s cross from the right.

Karela United despite going down by two goals kept on piling so much pressure on their host to reduce the deficit but yielded nothing.

Back from recess, Dreams with another headed goal in the early stages to hit their third goal, courtesy Ali Huzaif, who scored a brace.

Karela went to sleep and looked totally off in the game, making no efforts of getting a goal in the game.

The homesters took total control of the game at some point, swinging passes among themselves and also dictating the pace and pattern of the game.

Karela United fought hard to pull one back from the spot-kick in the dying embers of the game.
