Berekum Chelsea bounced back from their Ghana Premier League opening-day defeat with a convincing 3-1 victory over Dreams FC at the Golden City Park on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The hosts made a flying start as Abubakari Seidu broke the deadlock just three minutes into the game, giving Chelsea the early advantage.
Jonah Attuquaye then doubled the lead in the 16th minute as the Bibires took firm control of proceedings. Chelsea held on to their two-goal advantage heading into the break.
Dreams FC returned from the interval with renewed purpose and eventually pulled one back through Abdul Razak Salifu in the 75th minute.
The visitors, sensing an opportunity to complete the comeback, grew in confidence and pushed forward in search of an equaliser.
However, their hopes were ended in stoppage time when Marvin Owusu found the back of the net to seal all three points for Chelsea.
The victory gives Berekum Chelsea the response they were looking for after their opening-day setback, and they will hope to build momentum when they travel to face newcomers Port City in their next league outing.
Dreams FC, meanwhile, will be determined to put the defeat behind them when they return home to host Bibiani Gold Stars.
