Champions League standard is high, start preparations early; Opoku Nti advises Kotoko

The Ghana Premier league champions are expected to beef up for next season with reports linking Yaw Annor and Vincent Atinga to the Kumasi-based side.

Opoku Nti says Asante Kotoko must start their preparations early in order to meet the Champions league’s standard.

“By any means we[Asante Kotoko] have to prepare well. Whatever programme the coach brings for preparations I think we must help them to through it because if they don’t prepare well it will be very difficult,” he said.

“I think we’re in June but July, August they will start [Champions league] do I lie?

“This time that they are onu break when are they coming it needs to be very soon so that they prepare because the Africa [Champions league] standard is very high,” he admitted.

Asante Kotoko legend, Samuel Opoku Nti, admits that the CAF champions league standard is high and urges his former club to start preparations early.

Asante Kotoko win the Ghana Premier league after eight years league drought and will be will be participating in the CAF Champions League.
