Cape Coast DVLA launches Customer Service Week

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Cape Coast has launched this year’s Customer Service Week to celebrate all its cherished customers.

The weeklong celebration, which is under the theme: “Customer Delight”, is meant to express the appreciation of the authority to all its valued customers.

Briefing the media at the launch on Monday, the Central Regional Manager of the Authority, Mr. Lawrence Adom, indicated that the survival of the Authority depended largely on its customers.

He said: “We are celebrating our customers, because good customer service is highly potential to the survival of every company, entity, or organisation that provides any form of service to their customers.”

“When customers are well treated, they feel valued and well valued; customers automatically become your brand ambassadors, so at DVLA, we respect our customers and value them as well,” Mr. Adom added.

Elaborating further on Peter Drucker’s popular quote that “The purpose of a business is to create a customer who creates customers,” explaining that every customer was dear to the Authority.

Getting feedback from customers

According to Mr. Adom, the Authority had always prioritised the concerns of its customers, therefore, the creation of a desk primarily responsible for interacting with customers.

This, he explained, would enable the Authority to get feedback from customers as to whether they (customers) were satisfied with the services provided.

The feedback would enable the Authority to provide more satisfactory service to its valued customers.

As part of the Customer Service Week celebration, the DVLA would provide health screening for its customers.

The yearly event was celebrated during the first week of October.
