Berekum Holy Family Hospital Administrator honoured for dedicated services

The Berekum Traditional Council has collaborated with Team Brand Berekum to honour Rev. Sr. Reena Vadakkeparambil John, for her contribution towards health delivery in the area.

Rev. Sr. Reena V. John has risen from Administrator to Principal Administrator in her six years stint at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.

Some of her achievements include the migration of the facility to an electronic folder system – one of the first in the country, expansion of service delivery to include specialities such as Obs & Gynae, Paediatrics, Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and ENT among others.

Vital diagnostic and investigative services such as Digital X-Ray machines, Endoscopy, Dialyses and CT-Scan are available at the hospital all due to her leadership.

On infrastructure, there has been a massive face uplift of the current Administration and Mother & Child Health (MCH) unit and Eye & ENT units, as well as the completion of a 100-bed capacity maternity ward, ultra-modern administration and OPD block.

The Berekum Holy Family Hospital is now a secondary-level facility, bringing it at par with a regional hospital.

The citation again highlighted her good relationship with both internal and external development partners such as Nananom, Berekumman Citizens Association, CHAG and the Berekum Association in the Netherlands which have all resulted in benefits to the hospital.

Rev. Sr. Reena V. John and the management of the Holy Family Hospital who were present during the reading of her citation, expressed gratitude for the recognition and promised to continue working hard to improve health delivery in Ghana

Team Brand Berekum is an agenda group with a conscious effort to project Berekum in a 10-year plan dubbed ‘A Decade of Action.
