Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, will, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, would be honoured with the Most Effective Regional Minister Award, Africa Category, in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
Complementing the award is the induction of Mr. Osei-Mensah into the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Hall of Fame on the same night, together with other high profile personalities on the African Continent.
Being organised by the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation (GNAAF), the award will be presented to the Minister at the 7th Edition Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Awards Night.
It will also recognise individuals making an impact and uniting the two countries through their activities.
In collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria, and the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, the award further seeks to strengthen the relationship between the two countries through honouring deserving companies and individuals who are making impacts in society.
In a letter issued and signed by Comrade Barry Ndu and Serwaa Gyedu, GNAAF Convenor and Secretary respectively, the award forms part of its sustained and deliberate move to promote high moral standards among office holders, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, especially between the two West African States.
“These two great countries can become a powerful force to reckon with in the Comity of Nations if the inherent resources are judiciously managed by our Leaders”, the letter stated.
Since 2017, the Ashanti Regional Minister has been a proud recipient of prestigious awards and recognition from international and local organisations for his contribution to humanity and the development of Ashanti Region and Ghana at large.
He currently holds the record as four-time Best Regional Minister by FAKS Investigations Limited, a renowned research body in the country.
Mr. Osei-Mensah was in 2019 given the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours Award as the Best Regional Minister Under president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.
Again, in 2019, a USA-based professional body, the Charted Institute of Leadership and Governance, also awarded Simon Osei-Mensah, with an “Excellence in Organisational and Heroes” Award.
