The newly appointed Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace, ahead of his assumption of office.
He was sworn into office on Thursday, January 30, 2025 by the President, John Dramani Mahama at Jubilee House.
The Minister was accompanied by Regional Coordinating Council Chief Director, Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, the General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brigadier General Charles Agyemang-Prempeh, the Regional Commander, DCOP Mr. Frank Abrokwa, the Regional Commander of Prisons and Ing. James B. Mwinyelle among other members of the RCC.
Dr. Amoakohene assured Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of his commitment to discharge his mandate with diligence and humility.
He expressed his profound gratitude to the president of the Republic His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for having the confidence in him and appointed him to serve in his administration, towards the development of the Ashanti region.
He also assured that he would not let President John Dramani Mahama and the youth down, to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The new Minister indicated that there are a lot of projects to be completed from the previous government and would ensure that those projects are completed, through the cooperation and understanding of the residents.
He stressed that the youth are capable of managing their own affairs and have the responsibility to contribute in building the country because they could suffer the most if the country’s resources are mismanaged.
