Arsenal supporters have taken to social media to demand a contract extension for Thomas Partey following his commanding performance in Tuesday night’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The Ghanaian midfielder returned to the starting XI after being left out of the squad against Everton last weekend and made his presence felt alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.
Partey controlled the midfield throughout the match, helping disrupt Madrid’s attacks while also contributing to Arsenal’s build-up play.
Even after receiving a yellow card in the second half, his composure was key as the Gunners secured a vital first-leg advantage at the Emirates.
With just months remaining on his current contract, fans wasted no time in calling for the club to tie him down.
