In a significant breakthrough, the police have arrested two suspects linked to the violent disturbances at Sowutuom over the weekend, which tragically claimed three lives and forty-nine others injured.
They are Christian Saka Ahianyevi and Newton Adotey, believed to be key players in the mayhem at the palace of the Chief of Omanjor.
Information available to The Chronicle from the Police Headquarters has it that, after the incident the Special Support Unit (SSU), based on a tip-off proceeded to Dansoman Last Stop and arrested Newton Adotey at his hideout.
A search on him revealed eighteen (18) spent BB Cartridges. Effort by the police also led to the apprehension of Christian Saka Ahianyevi.
The suspects and the exhibits were subsequently handed over to the Odonkor Divisional Police Command for further action.
