Appointment Of Ministers, Et Al Mosquito Allegedly Angry With Mahama …Council Of Elders To Meet Soon To Settle The Matter

President John Dramani Mahama

Trouble is seemingly looming in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) with reports of the National chairman of the party, Mr  Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, peeved over the appointment of Ministers and Chief Executive officers by President John Dramani Mahama.

The Chronicle’s unimpeachable sources within the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the ruling party said General Mosquito, as Mr Asiedu Nketiah is popular known, is not happy that he has been side-lined by President John Dramani Mahama and the appointment committee of the party, as his preferred candidates for appointment into government seem to have been rejected.

Intelligence information filtering into The Chronicle office indicates that President Mahama rejected Johnson Asiedu Nketiah’s list of preferred candidates for consideration for appointment. The development, The Chronicle understands, has created tension in the party, as some executives from various constituencies keep thronging the loquacious National chairman’s office to register their displeasure about the President’s appointments.

Another source within the FEC has confided in The Chronicle that General Mosquito had already lodged a formal complaint against the president with elders of the party.

As a result of these developments, an emergency meeting has reportedly been scheduled by the Council of Elders of the party, including the Speaker of Parliament, to address the concerns of the Chairman and to unravel the brain behind the deliberate attempt to sideline the National Chairman in the appointment of ministers and CEOs in President Mahama’s government.

Concerned party supporters called for a swift move to iron out the emerging differences between the President and the Chairman to avoid further cracks within the party.

They claimed Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah undoubtedly played a significant role during the 2024 electioneering campaign by touring almost every community of the country to canvas for votes for the party to win power.
