As part of its 2026 Customer Service Month, the Tema Region of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has held a customer sensitization and engagement at the Community One market to interact with the general public.

The public engagement had members of the public visiting a stand ECG had mounted to discuss issues of concern to them. The issues the public brought up included how to get a new or separate meters, meter challenges with regards to not being able to load credit and meters which keep blinking despite the credit on them.
Some of the customers appreciated the programme, expressing their happiness to see ECG in the market. The Tema Regional General Manager was represented by the Revenue Protection Manager, Madam Zita Kyei-Gyamfi, who indicated that the programme was to appreciate customers and to reiterate that “ECG is committed to providing safe, reliable and quality electricity supply to our cherished customers.”
Madam Kyei-Gyamfi also spoke against illegal connections, and added that such activities affect electricity supply as they end up over-burdening transformers. She, thus, advised people engaged in that illegality to desist from it, saying that it is criminal offence.
A team from the Communications Directorate, Head Office, led by the Manager for Services Marketing, Madam Patricia Brefo, joined the Tema Regional Communications Unit for the one-day public engagement.
