Funeral arrangements for veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Naa Kwarley Nortey have been announced.
According to a funeral poster shared by her granddaughter, the late actress will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 31, 2026, following a burial service at the forecourt of the State House.
The burial service will give family, friends, colleagues, fans and loved ones the opportunity to file past her mortal remains and pay their last respects. Tributes will also be read, followed by a memorial service in her honour. The interment will be private.
The funeral rites will continue on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with a Thanksgiving Service at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Osu.
The family has also announced an all-white dress code for both days as they bid farewell to the veteran actress.
Grace Nortey died at the age of 89 on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
Grace Nortey, born on February 1, 1937, celebrated her 89th birthday earlier this year. She was widely recognised for her commanding performances.
Her acting career spanned several decades and saw her feature in a number of Ghanaian and internationally recognised productions.
She is survived by five children.
