Empowerment Worship Centre is set for the 2026 edition of its flagship non-stop prayer marathon, ‘Stand in the Gap’ marking a significant expansion of the annual event from 48 hours to 72 continuous hours of prayer, worship and revival.
The highly anticipated programme, themed ‘Revive Thy Works,’ begins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 and will run uninterrupted until Saturday, July 12, drawing thousands of worshippers from across Ghana and beyond.
This year’s edition represents a major milestone for the church. According to the hosts, Prophet Gideon and Lady Gina Danso, together with the leadership of Empowerment Worship Centre, the decision was taken to extend the programme from its traditional 48-hour format to 72 hours in response to what they describe as the urgent need for intensified prayer, national intercession and spiritual revival.
The expanded prayer marathon is expected to create an atmosphere of uninterrupted worship, prophetic ministrations and fervent intercession, with believers standing in the gap for families, communities, nations and the Church.
An impressive line-up of ministers will grace the event, including renowned worship leader Nathaniel Bassey (Nigeria), Joe Mettle (Ghana), William McDowell (USA), John Hannah (USA), Victoria Orenze (Nigeria), Sunmisola Agbebi (Nigeria), Matthew Thompson (USA), Regan D’Onofrio (USA), Dave Bell (UK), Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, Ben Doku, Uncle Ato, and the EWC Live music team.
Organisers say the theme, ‘Revive Thy Works,’ is a passionate call for God to rekindle His power and glory in the lives of individuals, the Church and the nation at large.
With final preparations complete, Empowerment Worship Centre says it is fully ready to host what promises to be one of Ghana’s biggest continuous prayer gatherings, as thousands converge for three days of unceasing prayer, worship and divine encounters.
The transition from 48 to 72 hours underscores the church’s unwavering commitment to raising a generation of intercessors and advancing a culture of sustained prayer and spiritual renewal.
