The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the suspected murder of a 34-year-old mobile money (MoMo) vendor at a guesthouse in Kasoa, in the Central Region.

The suspects, identified as Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile, were arrested on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, following the discovery of the lifeless body of Christian Amponsah at a guesthouse near Kasoa Second.

According to a police statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs of the Central East Regional Police Command, DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, the incident came to light after the manager of the guesthouse reported the discovery to the police.

The statement explained that the deceased had checked into the guesthouse with the female juvenile and booked a room for two hours.

However, when the two failed to emerge from the room after the booked period had elapsed, the manager went to check on them.

Upon entering the room, he reportedly found Amponsah lying motionless in a pool of blood.

Police officers dispatched to the scene subsequently found the deceased lying face down, with his body covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.

The body was conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The police did not disclose the nature of the injuries sustained by the deceased or the circumstances leading to his death.

The statement also did not specify the alleged roles of the three suspects in the incident.

DSP Dosoo indicated that the suspects were in police custody assisting with investigations.

He assured the public that the Command was conducting thorough investigations into the incident and taking steps to arraign the suspects before court.

The Central East Regional Police Command also expressed appreciation to members of the public and other stakeholders whose timely information contributed to the arrest of the suspects.
