Mrs. Ohenewaa Constance Ankoma, the Project Manager of Kurofa Vision 2040 Youth Network Association said the purpose was to put hope and make the windows smile during the festive season and let them know that they are not alone even though they have lost their husbands.

She said the sole purpose of the organization was to promote the development of Kurofa, and the initiative was to mobilize the youth of the area to “channel our energies into ensuring that there is development in our community”.

Mrs. Ohenewaa Ankoma said the maiden edition of Widow Fest was in 2022 at which 100 widows from Kurofa were feted, but added that the 2023 widows’ festival was special in the sense that they have decided to combine the two adjoining communities, which is Kurofa and Adomfe and also increased the number of beneficiaries from 100 to 300 widows.

The Project Manager also appealed to prominent citizens of the area both at home and abroad to join the Kurofa Vision 2040 and help better the lives of less privileged folks at home, especially the widows.

Lots of the widows displayed their packages in joyous moods after receiving them and were full of appreciation and also showered blessings and praises on the benefactor who is the visionary behind the KV2040 project.

The Kurofa Vision 2040 Youth Network Association was founded some three years ago by Reverend (Dr.) Ebenezer Kyere Nkansah, currently the Head Pastor of Maker of Heaven Baptist Church at Woodbridge Virginia in the USA and a prominent citizen of Kurofa.
