Mr. Yakubu Adams, former NDC Asawase Constituency Communications officer and a scrap dealer in Kumasi has donated assorted drinks, mineral water and biscuits to about 28 constituency polling station agents in the Ashanti region towards the upcoming December 7 general elections.
According to him, the gesture is to ensure that the NDC polling station agents and grassroots are empowered to work wholeheartedly before, during and after the elections to ensure victory for the NDC.
Speaking to the media, he explained that some of the agents normally complain of hunger on Election Day while policing the party’s ballots, and believe that the gesture would boost and motivate them to work in the interest of the party in the Ashanti region for a massive victory.
Mr. Yakubu, aka Yakubu Tony Aidoo, appealed to other party faithful especially former appointees to also contribute their quota at this crucial time the party needs them most to ensure the NDC recapture powers.
Alhaji Faisal Dauda, the Asawase chairman of NDC,  on behalf of the beneficiary constituencies commended Yakubu Tony Aidoo for the kind gesture and appealed to the party to also empower the youth to motivate others to  contribute their quota towards the  growth of the party in emulation of Tony Aidoo’s gesture.
