A former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Serial Callers, Mr. Sampson Kofi Nimako, has commended the Managing Director of the Ghana Post Company Limited, Mr. Bice Osei Kuffuor, for reviving the fortunes of the company, which was on the verge of collapse at the time of his appointment.
Mr. Nimako praised Mr. Osei Kuffuor for moving Ghana Post forward through technological innovations, making it currently one of the leading government institutions in the country.
Mr. Nimako, popularly known as Abilele in political circles, also commended Mr. Johnson Asante, the Northern Sector Director of Ghana Post, whose vision had helped catapult the image of the company.
Abilele described Mr. Asante as a visionary leader, and noted that over a brief space of time, he, with the encouragement of the Board and management of Ghana Post, had caused many of the company’s offices to be renovated, resulting in a huge transformation and tremendous change.
According to him, Ghana Post Company now operates with customers through the Digital Address system make it easier for clientele and patronage to patronise its services.
Mr. Nimako pointed to Suame, Obuasi, Dunkwa, Techiman, Sunyani, Old Tafo and Ejisu among others, where Ghana Post offices had seen major rehabilitations.
He said Mr. Asante had increased the company’s fleet of vehicles and motorcycles to facilitate quick and delivery service.
He suggested that Mr. Johnson Asante be honoured for impacting on the growth of Ghana Post.
“His contribution is unique and needs to be honoured with the erection of his statue in front of the Kumasi office of the company,” the serial caller recommended.
