The members of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly have given thumbs up for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Kennedy Akwasi Kankam, for proving he was development-oriented.
The MCE, who was initially presumed an “outsider” on his nomination by the President last September, has proven his critics wrong.
The former Member of Parliament for Nhyieaso, on assuming office on October 12, 2021, has literally hit the ground running.
Mr. Kankam has caused the Assembly block complex, which had not seen any such rehabilitation since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration was ousted, to be fully painted to give it a new look.
According to the assembly members, the former MCE, Alhaji Alidu Seidu, had not seen the need to take such an initiative even though it was needful.
Kennedy Kankam obtained 100% approval from the 22-member Assembly on October 5, 2021 as the new MCE for Asokore Mampong Municipality.
