Three men accused of robbing a staff member of Zamo Company Limited of GH¢700,000 have been remanded into police custody by the Circuit Court in Accra. The accused persons, Bilal Iddrisu, alias One Biker, 22; Iddrisu Abdul-Rahman, alias Iddi, 27; and Musah Mohammed, alias Commander 45, 35, all pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah, who presided over the court, adjourned the case to November 2, 2026. The accused persons are facing charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, abetment of robbery and robbery, in connection with an alleged attack on two employees of Zamo Company Limited at New Town, Accra, on September 15, 2026.

The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector C. J. O. Acquah, told the court that the victims, James Akrong, a driver, and Priscilla Setigah, a sales assistant, were returning from Zenith Bank’s North Industrial Area branch with GH¢700,000 intended for the company’s operations.

According to the prosecution, the first and second accused persons allegedly rode an unregistered black Honda Africa Twin motorcycle and trailed the victims, who were travelling in a Hyundai Elantra car, to the company’s warehouse at New Town.

The prosecution said the two suspects allegedly accosted the victims at gunpoint, fired shots and made away with the money, which was contained in a black bag. Investigations subsequently led to the arrest of the first accused at the Accra Arts Centre. A search conducted at his residence allegedly uncovered helmets believed to have been used during the robbery.

The prosecution said the first accused identified the second accused as the pillion rider on the motorcycle during the incident. The second accused was later arrested at Medie and allegedly informed investigators that the motorcycle belonged to the third accused, who was subsequently arrested at Abossey Okai.

The prosecution further told the court that the motorcycle was retrieved and that a review of CCTV footage from the scene allegedly showed the motorcycle and helmets used by the suspects during the robbery. The three accused persons were subsequently charged and brought before the court.
