The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tarkwa Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker, on Easter Monday fed over 700 widows in his constituency, as part of his annual get together programme.
Obaapayin Grace Tabil, one of the widows, told this reporter that “I am always grateful to Hon. Duker and we will do what we can to help him win the seat again in the 2024, because never have we seen such a caring and accessing MP like him”.
They called on the people of Tarkwa to support the MP, irrespective of their political background, as he lobbies to bring projects to Tarkwa and other communities.
The MP on his part thanked the widows for honoring his invitation.
He said God had been grateful to him and the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem and that it was just right to show love to the needy especially the widows who virtually have no support.
He said this was not the first time and would not be the last time, adding that with good health and support from the people, he would always bring smiles to their faces.
“I thank God for my life and with good health and support from the people, I will always bring smiles onto the faces of these windows”, Duker promised.
Also in attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).Benjamin Kesse, the Central North Police Commander and some constituency and Regional Executives of the ruling party.
