As part of its institutional strengthening and capacity building measures, the Sunyani Municipal Assembly in the Bono region has organised a two-day training workshop for all staff.
The training was organized by the human resource department of the assembly.
Head of the Human Resource Department, Mr. Isaac K.O. Boakye said that the aim of the training was to sharpen the skills of employees on revenue mobilization strategies and coding, records management as well as build their capacity in office management for effective revenue mobilisation and service delivery.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Ansu Kumi in an address encouraged the participants to take the training seriously to enrich their technical know-how in the discharge of their duties for them to be able to serve the people effectively.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Dr. Philip D. Baazeng urged the staff to use the training to strengthen their technical capacity as staff of the assembly for them to discharge their duties with professionalism.
The first day of the training focused on revenue mobilization and coding, while participants were taken through the procedure involved in writing Reports, Minutes and Records management.
The facilitator, Ms. Akua Antwi from the Bono Regional Coordinating Council took participants through the updated procedures of records management and encouraged the staff to make good use of the training.  Participants expressed their appreciation to the management for the training and called for more of such training.
