Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat has been excluded from Fiorentina’s 24-man squad for their Europa Conference League play-off first leg tomorrow.
Last year’s finalists travel to Rapid Vienna without the Morocco international even though he was on the bench in their Serie A opener against Genoa on Saturday.
The club have reportedly set the midfielder a deadline to decide whether he wants to leave with multiple clubs interested, as per Corriere dello Sport via Football Italia.
United made the 27-year-old their top target earlier this month and could pay around £30million after deeming Everton’s Amadou Onana too pricy.
Amrabat has previously cast doubt over an exit from the Stadio Artemio Franchi by admitting he ‘doesn’t know if he is leaving‘.
His exclusion from I Viola‘s European touring squad obviously raises eyebrows.
There is the argument that he could be being rested but most of their other first-team players are included – besides Amrabat’s Moroccan countryman Abdelhamid Sabiri – and a Sunday clash with relegation strugglers Lecce seems meek justification for a break.
