Serie A leaders Napoli won again. Napoli fought back after falling behind to beat Atalanta.
Former Everton winger Ademola Lookman put Atalanta ahead with a penalty after a handball by Victor Osimhen. Napoli’s Nigeria striker made amends when he headed the equaliser before Elif Elmas’ finish won the game.
Napoli, who have not won Serie A since 1989-90, have won nine league games in a row to move on to 35 points from 13 games.
AC Milan, who are second, are on 29 points and third-placed Atalanta have 27 from 13 games. Maldini, 21, is on loan at Spezia from AC Milan and equalised after Theo Hernandez had given the hosts the lead.
Former Arsenal and Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud hit an 89th-minute volley as Milan won 2-1 in the San Siro to remain six points behind Napoli.
Giroud was sent off for a second yellow card for his celebration after scoring.
