Serene Insurance, a wing of the First Sky Group, has been honoured with multiple accolades at the 7th Ghana Insurance Awards held in Accra last week.
The company was named the Emerging Insurance Brand of the Year for 2023. Its Chief Executive Officer, Mercy Naa Koshie Boampong, was distinguished as CEO of the Year in the general insurance category.
Additionally, Serene Insurance received recognition as the Best Growing Insurance Company for 2023, showcasing its aggressive expansion strategy and improved financial performance. The company was also awarded Best CSR Leadership for its commitment to business sustainability and reputation management.
Mercy Naa Koshie Boampong’s recognition reflects her exceptional leadership and vision, which have driven innovation and growth at Serene Insurance.
Under her guidance, the company has seen significant increases in gross written premiums and has positioned itself as a leading player in the insurance sector.
Having been named the Fastest Growing Insurance Company in 2022, Serene Insurance continued its upward trajectory in 2023, with notable improvements in industry rankings, client base, agency network, and branch expansion.
These achievements contributed to its win as the Best Growing Insurance Company.
In response to the awards, Mercy Boampong expressed pride in the company’s accomplishments and reaffirmed Serene Insurance’s commitment to delivering superior customer service and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Board Chairman, Charles Edem Gidi, praised the company’s achievements as a testament to its dedication to improving insurance access and inclusivity. He commended the efforts of the board, management and staff in upholding the company’s reputation as a leader in the industry.
Serene Insurance was represented at the event by General Manager of Technical, Michael Agbleke and General Manager of Business Development and Marketing, Nana Yaw Owusu Dwomoh, among other staff members.
