The Takoradi-Agona Nkwanta road may not be in a bad condition, but the portion at Ewusiejoe to Agona Nkwanta remains a death trap to not only commuters, but motorist as well.
The portion, which is about 80 metres, has developed beyond potholes and continues to serve as trap to motorists, most particularly heavy duty trucks carrying goods.
Due to the deplorable state of the said portion, two heavy duty trucks loaded with goods have since become casualties as they tried to meander their way to dodge the potholes.
Just last week, a truck loaded with onions fell on the said portion culminating in heavy traffic.
The portion becomes worse when the rain sets in. Last week Friday, during a downpour, two trucks got stuck also culminating in heavy traffic. Motorists complain about the seeming indifference of the administrative authorities.
A driver, who had his vehicle stuck at the said portion, told this Reporter that it was a shame for the authorities to look unconcerned.
“In the end, it is we drivers and commuters who suffer, but for how long can this remain unattended to?” he asked.
