Over 200 traders to showcase products at Obuasi 2024 Trade Show

Over two hundred traders from the Obuasi Municipality and nearby Districts are expected to exhibit their products at the 7th Edition of the Obuasi Trade Show scheduled to take place from December 18 to 22, 2024.

The Trade Show comes under the theme: “Harnessing Our Creative Potential to Diversify the Local Economy”.

Mr. Daniel Arthur Bentum, Social Development Superintendent of AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) Obuasi Mine, speaking at the media launch of the event on behalf of the Community Relations Manager, called on the business community and traders in Obuasi and beyond to come together and harness their creative potential, and also unlock new opportunities for growth and development.

According to him, the Trade Show serves as a platform not only for businesses to display their products and services, but also as a meeting point for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

“To the SME entrepreneurs and artisans, seize the opportunity to showcase your talents, products and services. Be part of the Obuasi Trade Show, network and forge partnerships that will strengthen the fabric of the local economy,” Mr. Bentum added.

Board Chairman of the Trade Show, Nana Aboagye Ohene-Adu, noted that the event will expose exhibitors to modern ways of packaging their products and help improve their businesses.

He thanked AGA, the headline sponsor of the programme for the training in bookkeeping and other fields to the exhibitors to upgrade themselves.

An exhibitor at last year’s edition of the Trade Show, Madam Ruth Donkor, of Agyapomaa Enterprise, noted that her business started booming soon after the event, as many people called to enquire about her products and bought as many as they could.

She encouraged more traders and businesses to register and be part of this year’s Trade Show.
