His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has appealed to financial institutions to introduce innovative and business support products and services to enhance business development.

The occasion was the 22nd Ashanti Business and financial services and 25th Ashanti Business Leaders Excellence Award 2025 organised by TOP BRASS, under the auspices of the Manhyia Palace, in commemoration of Otumfuo’s 75th birthday.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu, who was represented by Nana Guahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang I, New Edubiase chief, expressed gratitude to Mr Isaac Owusu, the Chief Executive Officer of Isaac Group of Companies for his determination and fighting spirit in the business sector, which contributed to the development of Ashanti businesses.

He emphasized that financial houses should look beyond providing credit to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and that it should also extend advisory services and capacity building support.

According to him, in so doing the institutions would ensure that their loans are being applied judiciously.

A Gold award was conferred on Isaac Group of Companies for his contributions to business development in the Ashanti region.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, was also commended for leading the Mahama government to initiate the Women Development Bank.

He disclosed that when the Bank fully was fully established, it would achieve its main objective of ensuring women financial inclusivity and economic empowerment.
