Odeneho Kwadaso Artisans petition Otumfuo over their acquired land  

Artisans at Odeneho Kwadaso, a suburb of Kumasi, have appealed to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, to intervene and come to their aid over a piece of land.

The Artisans also want the government to protect a portion of land acquired through legitimate process from the authorities.

According to them, they have gone through a legitimate process to secure the said land from the authorities some years back, but some individuals are hiding behind the staff of NADMO and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to stop them from working on the said piece of land.

Mr. James Opoku, the Chief Executive Officer, Lion King Engineering Company and member of the Artisans, at a press conference, appealed to the Asantehene and the City authorities to safeguard the land to enable them train the youth who are interested in TVET.

He stressed the need for the government to partner stakeholders to train the teeming unemployed youth to acquire skills, especially from the Artisans, to reduce unemployment.
