Mr. Abel Anokye, who presented the items on behalf of the MP, explained that the gesture was in response to an appeal from the Regional Director of the Secretariat to provide some relief to the prospective National Service personnel.

Mr. Emmanuel Fynn, the Ashanti Regional Director of the Directorate, expressed his profound gratitude to the MP for the kind gesture.

He commended the MP’s initiative and urged individuals, corporate bodies, and philanthropists to emulate her shining example.

He also called on Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to support the Directorate to facilitate their mandate.

Mr. Fynn stated that the Directorate was working to improve the effectiveness of the office, which currently faced challenges such as inadequate facilities.

He noted that the prospective personnel often have to line up in the scorching sun during registration processes, but the Directorate has provided canopies to serve as shelter.
