Nsuta gets new Chief

A 62-year-old pharmacist has been enstooled Paramount Chief of Nsuta Traditional Area in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region, and answers to Okokyiriahene Asamoah Gyamfi Sekyere II.

Known in private life as Mr. Felix Asamoah, the new Chief succeeds his brother who died five years ago.

His installation last Thursday, which was witnessed by people from all walks of life, including Adelaide Obaayaa Agyeiwaa Ntim, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsuta Kwamang Beposo Constituency, who doubled as Dadiesoabahemaa, took place at the forecourt of the Chief’s Palace.

Okokyiriahene Asamoah Gyamfi Sekyere II, while swearing the Oath of Allegiance to the chiefs, elders and people of Nsuta, assured them of his readiness to serve his people in humility, and continue the legacy of the past chiefs.

The Dadiesoabahemaa expressed appreciation to the kingmakers for ensuring a successful installation of a chief for the community, and hoped the move would bring development to the area.
