Ghana’s representative in the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2024-2025 season, Nsoatreman FC, have qualified to compete in the second round of the tournament.
Nsoatreman beat Elect Sport of Chad 2-0 in Cameroon to progress from the preliminary stage via a 5-0 aggregate win. In the first leg that was played at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, Nsoatreman beat Elect Sport 3-0 with all three goals registered in the first half across a six minute period.
In the away fixture, however, Walid Fuseini grabbed the opening goal in the 34th minute and Stephan Diyou added the second in the 86th minute.
Nsoatreman will play against the winner of the Constantine FC (Algeria) – Police FC (Rwanda) tie; the second leg takes place on Sunday, August 25 at 13:00 GMT in Rwanda with Constantine holding a 2-0 aggregate lead.
This is Nsoatreman’s first foray into the competition after only gaining promotion to compete in the Ghana Premier League last season.
In its debut campaign in the top flight, Nsoatreman finished fourth and won the MTN FA Cup to qualify to represent Ghana in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
