The Found and former flag bearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrew, who is also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, says with the current prevailing economic situation in the country, Ghanaian can only make it right if they vote for GUM.
According to him, GUM is the only alternative that Ghanaians could fall upon to turn the economic misfortunes of the state around.
Addressing the party’s maiden press conference of the year in Accra last Wednesday, he said the two dominant political parties had failed Ghanaians and they were the reason the citizens were suffering.
He said GUM had better development policies that would catapult the country from stagnancy to vibrancy.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom indicated that key policies that would be introduced by the party should they win power in 2024, would be to bring back state-owned enterprises and a review of Ghana education curriculum.
“We have a lot of social intervention programmes, but because of time let me pause here and offer some advice to the government before I draw the curtain down here,” he said.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom blamed the New Patriotic Party government for not heeding their warning and had dragged the country into a ditch.
Meanwhile, he stated that the government did not have anything to show for the over GH¢300 billion it had added to the country’s debt stock.
“The NPP should come out and show us what they have done with that money,” he lamented.
According to him, the various Auditor General’s Reports proved the two parties guilty.
He also condemned the construction of the National Cathedral and the fiscal intervention of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
