The Minister for the Interior,Aljahi Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, acting on the advice of the National Security Council, has imposed a curfew on Nalerigu Township and its surrounding communities in the North East Region.
The curfew, announced through an Executive Instrument and published on the Ministry of Interior’s website, takes effect from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., starting Thursday, December 18, 2025
Government has urged chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth, and residents to exercise restraint amid the prevailing challenges, and to channel their energies through peaceful and non-violent means to restore calm in the area.
