Nigerian Leaders Must Develop 50-Year Development Plan –Faseru

Televangelist Femi Faseru says Nigerian leaders must develop a 50-year plan for the nation’s comprehensive development.

Faseru, the Resident Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre in Lagos, cited the absence of vision as one of the reasons for Nigeria’s hydra-headed developmental challenges.

“We have a leadership problem, we have leaders’ problem, we’ve definitely had followership problem and we also have a management problem,” the preacher said on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief programme on Monday.

Faseru said politicians and those in government offices have failed to develop an enduring vision for Nigeria whilst they only try to play around the near-expired vision of the country’s founding fathers.

The preacher said without vision there can’t be progress and leaders can’t command the loyalty and respect of the followers.

He said, “We cannot leave out the lack of clear vision and when I talk about vision, I’m not talking about four-year vision. If you ask anybody around and say: ‘Where do you think our leaders want to take Nigeria to in 20 years?’ I’m not sure a lot of people will be able to articulate that.”
